McCalls 7862 Pattern Review

The Start of Something Lovely 💖

Simplicity at it’s finest.  I love simple, plain pieces.  Why?  I can always be extra with shoes and accessories.  I purchased this pattern because it looked like an easy sew.

Pattern: McCalls 7862

Pattern Size: 14-22

View:  B

Fabric:  Cotton Blend and Quilting Cotton

Cut Size: 16

Modifications:  None

Likes: The Fit, the length, the pockets  and the pleated sleeves. Dislikes: None

Pleated Sleeve

Conclusion:  I struck gold again.  This is an easy make for a beginner. No notions.  The toughest part for any beginner would be the pleated sleeves.  Honestly, pleats aren’t  difficult, just time consuming depending on the number of pleats.  Once again, I really don’t like slip stitching so this one sat awhile before it was completed.

I love love, love that this dress has pockets.  It is going to become obvious that I am a pocket lover.  absolutely love the pocket.  The pleated sleeves add the perfect amount of detail to this otherwise plain dress.  This will be a great year round dress for me.

Would I make this again? I did.
