I’m prone to shy away from anything with straps. Primarily because the straps are always too long and fall down.. Another reason to learn to make your own clothing.

Conclusion: My first version of this dress was for Mother’s Day. It was perfect for the hot weather here in the Southeast, USA. It was so beginner friendly (even with the buttons), I made another.
Making Buttonholes
I received several “where did you get that?” compliments on this dress and two people that asked if I would make them one.
